As a licensed home inspector, we are required to complete a 70-hour course, 25 “ride-along” inspections with an already licensed inspector, and pass the National exam. A typical home inspection will last anywhere from 2-4 hours. This is based on a 2,000 square foot home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bath and the current condition of the home along with the accessibility to all components.

We always recommend you being present for the inspection. This will allow us to walk the property together at the end of the inspection and answer all questions before we leave the property. This takes all the guesswork out of understanding what will be in the report and allows us to get to know each other so we can help serve you better.

At VCHI, we price our inspections based on age of the home, square footage, and location.

Your inspector will provide you with a home inspection report that is yours to keep. The report will summarize what was inspected, its condition, any defects identified, and recommendations for repair (if needed). The inspector will provide this to you within 24 hours of completing the inspection. You will receive the report via HTML version (through Homegauge our reporting software) and a PDF version sent through email.

You will receive a link to an active Google Sheet that contains our preferred vendors as well. This will help you with any moving/repair/remodeling tasks you need to make this house your home!
